In November 2024 I travelled to Kumi, Uganda, with a team of volunteers with the Kumi Community Foundation. The team consisted of a number of physio and occupational therapists, wheelchair technicians and administrators.

The purpose of the trip was to provide people from the town of Kumi and its surrounds with wheelchairs and walking aids.

The team saw a total of 222 people and gave out 101 wheelchairs, 53 crutches, 12 rolators, 18 zimmer frames and 20 paediatric chairs and buggies. The charity also paid for 19 prosthetic limbs to be made.

The next trip will take place in February 2026.
